Advice for 2019

onlinecounsellingcollege:

1. Be wise in your friendships, and in choosing whom you’ll trust.

2. Love others deeply, and enjoy relationships.

3. Plan for the future - and work hard to succeed.

4. Practise being mindful and being present in “the now”.

5. Choose to be happy - despite life’s challenges.

6. Remember that life changes, and most storms pass with time.

7. You only live life once, so take risks, and seize the day.

Whatever your Comfort Zone consists of, you pay a huge price for it. Life provides endless possibilities, but along with them comes pain. If you can’t tolerate pain, you can’t be fully alive. There are many different examples of this. If you’re shy and avoid people, then you lose the vitality that comes with a sense of community. If you’re creative but can’t tolerate criticism, then you avoid selling your ideas to the marketplace. If you’re a leader but you can’t confront people, no one will follow you. The Comfort Zone is supposed to keep your life safe, but what it really does is keep your life small.

“Lifting heavy weights will give you bigger, stronger muscles. Sparring with better fighters will make you tougher. Reading challenging books will make you smarter and more focused. Pushing through discomfort in negotiations and awkward approaches will make you more socially confident. In the game of life, pain and difficulty lead to growth. Comfort leads to stagnation.”

Happy new year!!! 2019!!! 🎆🎇🌃

Wow, it’s an hour and 10 mins until it’s official 2019! Happy new year and after today. It has been 6 years since I’ve been on tumblr.

2018 in general has been a good year, due to doing many internships and being to gain insight into the industry I want to potentially excel my career in. Although I still feel about out of place. Lots of free time to rest but also my trip to Saudi Arabia is one of my highlights but also being in London quite a lot has been a highlight for me. I’ve enjoyed being able to work in the nice areas of London such as South Kensington, and being able to treat myself to a mocha and hot chocolate in L'Opera and finally discovering Harrods. And buying my perfume from there. Also, my love of perfume has really grown since being in Knightsbridge and Saudi. Never really though I’d become so obessed with perfume and oud, to a point where I’ve made a side blog based on perfumes!!!

Although it has been a struggle for me to settle back into university and become a full time student doing their final collection. I just don’t feel connected anymore and just feel like I’m doing it, just to pass and graduate from uni. This is probably an important moment in my life and something that will open doors for my future career.. a good portfolio and well made collection will get me recognised and I will need to seriously consider what I’m going to do after uni. I am planning to take a short trip abroad because travelling is something I also want to do and I want to be well travelled.

I never really thought I would do a placement year but I’m glad I did. It was worth all the hassle and being less hesitant in taking some experience outside of university life. Even if my first placement was harsh, I found other companies more professional and nice…

I just hope 2019 goes well for me or even better . It’s scary because I will be graduating!!’ Ughj or expecting to!!!
